December 4: End of Giving Campaign: The PTO is raising funds for our school. This is a one-time donation for the year. Currently 43 % of our class has donated to the campaign, lets try to get 100%! Please donate what you can, and remember - no amount is too small!

Reading envelopes
Reading Envelopes:
On Friday, I sent home reading envelopes with each child along with an information sheet and a reading log. Please help your children complete this portion of their homework. If you have any questions, please let me know.
If you can, please tally up how many minutes your child read over the week and write it in the upper right hand corner.

• With the “eep” word family
• In skill set groups – curriculum depended on the needs of each groups.
• In guided reading groups we worked on word solving strategies based on
phonics rules, content, vocabulary and comprehension
PE/Music:
We will have PE on the Wednesday when we return to school.
Vocabulary we worked on this week:
Noun – a person, place or thing
Adjective – a word that describes a noun
Writer’s Workshop:
This week we completed free writing and storyline writing activities.
We focused on:
· Periods and exclamation marks (when needed)
· Upper/lower case letters, Spacing, Basic spelling
· Nouns
· Adjectives
· Poetry and Free writing
